What is H4ACS?

The purpose of HOPE for All Charter School (H4ACS) is to provide an educational organization that reaches those students who are primarily unsuccessful in the traditional educational system and provides opportunities for students to learn in a unique learning environment.

A visionary flexible learning environment creating Help, Opportunities, Practicality, and Empowerment for students, staff and the community will use progressive methods to create a unique educational experience for all involved.  Internships with supporting businesses, real-life experiences with the operation of the café, general office duties, and technology support, as well as workplace experiences will be used in addition to traditional subject matter to create a well rounded experience for the student.  Teams will be created to CARE (Communicate, Affirm, Recognize, and be an Example) for individual students and help them to be successful.

Students will be working on four areas that will develop the entire individual:

Ø      Academic development (mind)

Ø      Personal development (character and leadership)

Ø      Career development (workplace skills)

Ø      Wellness development (physical and mental)

H4ACS has a unique program to offer to its high school students.  High school students enroll at the beginner stage, which requires the students to attend all 4 days of school for the entire length of the school day.  They then have the opportunity to progress through 4 stages, each requiring less structured in school time and providing more time for independence and responsibility on behalf of the student.  The atmosphere of the school will resemble a college or work setting.

Using a variety of methods and opportunities for learning, a customized learning blueprint will be developed for each student based on his or her passions, interests, needs, and abilities.

H4ACS believes that everyone can learn and that everyone can be successful.  We believe that learning not only comes from reading but also from discovering, actively participating, and seeing and understanding examples.  By removing as many obstacles as possible from a student’s path, H4ACS can provide an education to students who normally would be challenged to survive in the traditional educational system. H4ACS is not necessarily creating new educational methodologies but rather improving on methodologies that are working but may not available in the traditional setting.  H4ACS is not in the business to create competition but rather, consistent with the intent of the Charter School Law, to provide additional opportunities not already available to ensure success for all school-aged individuals.
